Mountain biking to lose weight is one of the best and easiest and funniest forms of exercise. If you are looking to lose weight, I found that finding activities that are fun will help me lose inches from a belly that I want. So I've started a program, where I do some form of fun exercise. In that way, I will want to continue with my routine. If you are looking to lose weight finding a routine will help you and if you add something that's fun to that routine that will keep you doing it on a regular basis. I found that mountain biking was my fun activity that I could do it every day, which will help me to lose the pounds and will help me de-stress my life. If you have a mountain bike or just a regular bike. I would recommend that you take it out at least once a day right around your neighborhood. You will be surprised at how fast you will lose the weight and how much fun you will have. My mountain bike is a specialized hard rock mountain bike, and it's a little too aggressive for most beginner bike riders. My wife on the other hand has a Schwinn bike with a big seat and shock absorbers both front and back. If you are looking to lose weight and ride your bike at the same time, and you have some excess weight, I would recommend finding a bicycle that's comfortable. My wife's bike with the extra wide seat and shocks would do just the trick for you. Her bike was not too expensive I think maybe 100 or $200, and it was a Schwinn bike. We recently went on vacation and some of our family members really enjoyed riding her bike as opposed to riding the hard-core mountain bikes. I refer to her bike as the Cadillac of bikes, because it's so smooth and easy to ride. So get out once a day or at least four or five times a week and ride your bike enjoy the fresh air and the fun that you're having and don't think about the fact that you are exercising. One small tip that's worked for me really well is, even when I decide that I don't feel like exercising, if I just go through the motions of putting my shoes on, that helps me get into the routine of actually doing the exercise. So play mental games with yourself if you have to and say you were just going for an enjoyable ride.
